|
|
| I'm 16, 5'3 and weigh 100-103 pounds. I don't play any sports...but I do walk home from school (30mins) almost everyday. And, 3 or 4 times a week I go for hour long walks after school. I know that doesn't really count for much...I just hate sports and I wont be taking one up anytime soon. I eat very little. But, the rest of my family eats very little aswell, so I think I'm normal there. I'm not normally sick. Do you think I'm fairly healthy/at a good weight? Also, I was wondering how to get my body toned. Right now it appears to be just flab. Well, the bottom half anyways...I've been told that doing crunches, and sit ups and push ups and things like that wont get you toned. It's the running/cardio that will tone you. I don't want to lose weight...just get toned. Particularly my stomach...I'd like to see some abs. Will I have to start running? Would jogging be almost as good? |

| i would start with the crunches, since you said your abs seem to be the only problem. you are at a great weight so toning seems to be the only thing you'll need to do. good luck. |

| Do lots of cardio and start lifting some weights. However, don't do ab workouts. They're pointless. Your abs are already strong and the definition there depends on body fat percentage. |

| Yes, you ARE at a healthy weight. Put a small ball under your lower back. VERY effective. It's like doing sit-ups but with a ball behind you. Just do sit ups like you normally would with the ball under you. |

| A healthy weight varies from person to person. Age, height, build, are some factors that should be considered, not a chart. To tone the body try Pilates. It tones the inner core muscles and makes you feel great, no need to be crunching, especially if you don't like exercise. |

| technically you are underweight. your BMI is 18.1you can change that by YES getting tonedand YES you do that by doing crunches and push ups and lifting weights. You build lean muscle mass. you are basically the same hight and weight as me, so i can tell you from experience it wont be hard at all for you to tone up, you just have to commit to it. you have to do your abs everyday. but not like 1000 crunches. just do like 6 different excercises 15 reps each. it should take about 15 minutes a day. you will be absolutley amazed in a month or two. it could be so easy for you to tone up and make a drop dead gorgeous body all you have to do is commit to it. youre more then half way there sisiter!! |

| You are almost under weight, but getting toned would actually make you weigh more but go down in dress sizes. And no, you do not need more cardio to tone yourself. You need light strength training. I'd go to the gym and do the different machines. And dont worry, you won't bulk up like a body builder. You will get the exact results that you're looking for. |
