|
|
| The past six months, I've been eating relatively healthy. Stir fries, chicken, fish, veggies, baked potatoes, etc. Cut back on a lot of bad foods (chips, fast food, etc) but not completely. I still have them now and again. My big downfall is pop. I drink about 3-4 Cokes a day. I have not noticed any weight loss and I am at a point where I am really serious about it. I never thought I'd be able to give up soft drinks, but I NEED to lose this extra weight. Is soda THAT awful? I mean, will I notice weight loss if I cut it out?? I know it's bad, but it's not like I eat a bag of chips or candy every day, it's my only bad thing. I dont drink coffee.Does anyone have some good sites that have easy to follow meal plans? Hubby and I are big on veggies, poultry, meat, etc and don't eat BAD but don't eat great, I guess. Instead of fresh veggies we usually do frozen or canned. I don't want to cut out bread although I am gonna buy multigrain from now on.HELP! |

| in a can of coke there are 150 calories. Multiply that by 4 and you're consuming 600 calories worth of drinkage my friend...that's like a Big Mac! Figure out how much sugar and carbs are in coke, and you'll see why you haven't lost all that much weight. Either drink diet if you have to, or try to switch to pure water. |

| Coke has sugar, caffeine, and loads more unhealthy crap. You will notice a diff. if you cut it out. I lost 10 pounds when I switched to drinking diet caffeine free Coke. (You get used to the taste!) I couldn't totally give up pop! Good Luck! |

| ok well no salt or try not to eat alot, salt holds water, and water is on of the main fat problems, no more coke, thats alot of calories you dont need, and dont switch to diet, its even worse, sure it has no calories, but it has fake sugars which will harm your body, cut out the chips and un-needed foods, try not to eat grease |

| Soda is THAT bad if you want to lose weight. I've read even diet soda, because of the sodium, is bad if you're trying to lose weight. My favorite diet website is South Beach. Their foods are delicious, so you're never hungry while you're losing weight. But it's a lot of cooking. But you can probably make it worth with any lifestyle, if you stick to their theories. And if you're not already, add exercise. To burn calories, you really need 1 hour of intense exercise, five days a week. But food is the HUGE component. Exercise just helps. |

| yes, the extra sugar and calories in the soda will make a big difference! switch to water and you'll be amazed at what you'll start losing! not necessarily weight at first, but definitely inches. if you don't like water, try adding the no calorie flavor packets (similar to gatoraid--found in the kool-aid isle at walmart) and if it needs sweetened, use a packet or two of splenda. that's what i did with my husband when he was diagnosed diabetic, and it helped him drop 30lbs. in a matter of 3 months!frozen and canned veggies are fine. frozen can be just as good as fresh, because they are frozen when they are fresh and they seal in the nutrients. |

| A 12 ounce can of pop contains 9 teaspoons of sugar. Each teaspoon has 15 calories which means one can equals 135 calories. That's a whopping 540 calories just from the pop alone that you drink each day. Switch to water or teas. For easy to use meal plans try Cinchclub.com. Eat fresh, raw veggies for better fiber and nutrition. Frozen is better than canned but still go for the fresh veggies. Lightly steaming is OK. Bread - no more than one slice a day. I've found that cutting out bread helps. Bread is my favorite food but has high carbs that make it hard to lose weight. Add some fresh fruit such as an apple in the morning. Eat real oranges instead of orange juice. |
