i am 21 years old about 5'3" and somewhere around 175lbs. I have always had a problem with my weight and nothing seems to work for me. I've tried eating healthy and i've tried just about all of the weight loss pills there are and i even tried weight watchers. i recently went on anxiety medication and i gained even more weight. i try to exercise as much as i can but i have severe asthma so i cant really do very much otherwise i have attacks. i am a college student living in a dorm environment so i have some diet limitations considering i have to eat in the dining halls. also, i dont eat any seafood or red meat, the only meat i eat is chicken. i would really like to lose weight and i need some suggestions because i am really starting to hate the way i look. thank you.

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m.I know a woman who lost 60 pounds a month on it. She did nothing else!

the number one way that work for everyone (including me) is keeping a calorie log...you can start out at 2,000 calories and work you way down to 1,200, but that's the minumum or it's unhealthy. the best part is you can eat what ever you want, and i started making better healthier choices cause i could eat more that way for the same amount of cals. Smile just try it's easier than you think

I would try ALLI if I were you. It works really well, and it will help you lose up to 50% more fat then dieting alone. I have used it and it works. If you cut out most of the sugars in your diet (look into atkins) and walk just a little every day you should be able to lose some weight.

take a look at www.zylenebody.com. I am a trainer and send all of my clients there for a healthy eating plan ( 5-6 times aday meals) and supplements/diet aides. I set all up in the beginning on a walking /weight trainign program 5 days a week. start SLOW is the key. Get on a healthy eating plan first. Then add the work out routine. Too much, too fast and you will stop. Zylene is the all natural diet aide that is working incredibly for my clients.

Hi I am 50 years old and just found out that I am 5'4" and 187 lbs. I was afraid to weigh. I also take anxiety medication, and for years have had a problem with my weight. The absolute best exercise is a simple 30 minute walk every day on flat surfaces. Since you live in a dorm environment, just a simple, non-strenuous walk will do, and will not aggravate your asthma. Remember no inclines! Then, write down everything you eat, and keep your calorie intake to 1,000 per day. Emphasize fruit juices and vegetables. A great trick is to drink a fruit juice before a meal, but read the calories on everything. I will be dieting with you, as I hate the way I look too, and I know it's not good for me. Go to the grocery store and get those salad bags or just spinach will do. Put 1 tablespoon of low fat dressing and you will see, with the walking, it will work. Forget those diet plans--they are expensive and the simple way works just as well. If all else fails, see your doctor who may be able to have you consult with a nutritionist. All the best.

Hi there! Weight loss pills don't usually work and weight watchers doesn't actually work unless u stick to the number of points and eat ONLY their food. How about enrolling yourself in a gym and doing small workouts? I lost a lot of weight swimming! Cut back on the chocolates or anything "junk" and make sure u eat within the 2000 calories. But make sure u award urself atleast otherwise your body will only give up soon! Good luck!

weight watchers is definately not the best thing out there...I personal train and part of what I do is design diets for many of my clients. I have used the same diet for 3 years now and it works very welll...It's cheap and very condusive to college studeunts. Its called fat loss for idiots...I know the title is a little rough, but in my opinion its the best thing out there...shoot me an emial and ill set you up with the link...hope this helps...andersonpersonaltraininggroup@yahoo.com

The two things that work for me are diet and exercise. When I say diet, I mean that I watch the way I eat...I don't literally "diet". Dieting oftentimes requires you to eliminate certain foods and can also end up depriving your body of what it needs. They are no good. First you should watch what you eat. Limit your sugar intake. Foods heavy in sugars are: candy, cake, cookies, soda, etc. If you have a sweet tooth or if you are hit often by cravings for sweets, pick up a banana or apple from the lunch room. It is a much better option and is nutritionally better for you anyway. Even though you have to eat dorm food, try to go for the healthiest options. Make a salad every time you eat dinner. And don't slather it in salad dressing. That totally defeats the purpose. For breakfast, pick up a muffin, fruit or whole-grain cereal. Don't tank up on sugary cereals or the breakfast sandwiches that the cafeteria makes. When you snack, choose your food wisely. Try to avoid chips, cookies and other fattening foods. Go for a granola bar, chips and salsa or Kashi crackers and hummus. You should also start drinking more water. Water helps move toxins and waste from your sytem. It also helps your food to digest more efficiently.Though you have asthma, you should still get some sort of physical activity in about 4/5 times per week for at least a half hour to forty-five minutes. There are plenty of low-impact options that will not make your condition flare up: power walking, riding a stationary bike, or using the elliptical. With those, you can always slow down or stop when you feel that you've reached your limit. Pilates and yoga are also great ways to tone up and slim down. I hope this helps and good luck!
