Im 5"2" and weigh 118 lbs... Im not fat but my tummy is and i have a lot of love handles! I've been wanting a tread mil for a long time and so my husband got me one for christmas and I was wondering if walking on that will make it all go away? How long should I walk on it everyday and how fast should I make it go I started yesterday 30minutes on speed three and set it on cross walk! Does anyone have any advice on how long I should be doing it or if Im even doing the right excersise for loosing the fat belly and love handles?

Really consider a whole line of recordings my friends and I are using. Some are cds and some are downloads. It covers drinking more water, eating half portions, getting rid of the sugar addiction AND craving exercise. The company is called Independent Achievement and then there's a fantastic workout program called P90X from a company called Beachbody.com. Keep it up...it's worth it.

You cannot lose fat in just one specific place. Got to get cardio - that means increase your heart rate - which a treadmill will help you do. My rule of thumb is to exercise *at least* until you begin to sweat - everyday. The payoff is that you will continue to burn calories long after you have stopped exercising.

Cardio (running, jogging, biking, etc.) and diet. JUST DOING CRUNCHES AND SIT UPS ALONE WILL NOT TRIM FAT, IT WILL ONLY TONE MUSCLES UNDER YOUR FAT. Having a good diet is esential for trimming belly/abdomen fat. If you don't do both of those, you shouldn't expect great results.YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN A GOOD DIET TO KEEP BELLY FAT OFF, AND BE ACTIVE PHYSICALLY TO BURN EXTRA CALORIES.

Becca,Your fight against love handles and fat tummy takes an attack on a couple of fronts.Yes, walking/sprinting on the treadmill will help. My quick advice is to challenge yourself. Don't just wander along on the treadmill. As long as your doctor has said it is OK to exercise, get moving. I prefer short intense sprints with short rests, rather than long boring sessions. (20 min. total)Your eating must be spot on.Also have a look at your mom and grandma's stomachs, as genetics may play a role.Good luck,Coop
