I am a university student and i am fat. I know i am fat, i got man boobs and a big belly and i really want to change...i just bought myself an ipod so i can use when i start working out. I want to get into shape for the summer. IF anybody can help me out it would be appreciated. I have never gone to the gym so please take that into consideration when you tell me what i should do and where to start. I don't know how/where to start...if someone can help me who had a similar experience like mine it would be great...what i am aiming for is trying to get ride of my belly (possibly get abs) and get some muscles on my arm...and also increase my stamina when i run...i can barely run for long periods....please help!! what workouts should i do and how should i start? i have no idea.if someone can give me an effective workout routine they used when they first started it would be awesome! thanks.

Well I'm not a male and it has been four years since I last stayed on campus, but I can offer some advice being as I was 5"4' and 195 pounds when I first entered college (I dropped to 125 by the time I left). First, if you are not against diet pills, try Alli and see if you like it. They came out in June and it is the OTC version of orlistat. It's not as strong as the prescription, but it still works pretty good. I have been using them since June and I have lost twenty pounds. Warning: When you use these pills, you really have to cut down on the amount of fatty foods you eat because they work by blocking fat absorption so instead of digesting fat, you defecate it (in other words, you get very runny, oily stools when you eat a lot of fat). Since you are a college student. Walk everywhere instead of driving. Always take the stairs (and the long way)instead of the elevator. Make it a point to find some stairs. I was so out of shape I used to stop on the stairs and catch my breath, but after a while I was able to tackle them. Take as many PE electives as the school wil allow you to take for credit. Weight lifting, aerobics, kickboxing, and tennis are really good for fat burning. Many schools have lite lines and salad bars (go lite on the dressing, cheese, and meats) in the cafeteria. Eat off of these and avoid the pizza and fried foods and don't eat late at night. Eat cereals without that much sugar for breakfast. You can also eat cereal as lunch. I lost forty plus pounds just by doing all of this. I lost the rest of my weight by joining the Air Force.
