In a healthy way, the girls and I at the office lost weight using the recordings from independent achievement....some are cds, some are downloads.....good stuff...for consistent weight loss that is working...minimal time effort, still get to eat what you want, you only want to eat half of what's on your plate..plus we're using the exercise recording to keep us craving exercise...outlay of time is only 20 minutes a day.....

I'm a physical therapist assistant and the best advice i can give you is AEROBIC exercise ie: running, walking, swimming, biking etc at least for 30-60 min 5 days a week. Also cut out those soda's and fAST food. Drink more water, also those big exercise balls are great for your abs.

You seem to know what to do. Control portions, no junk foods, eat well-balanced meals. Lots of fruit and vegetables. Get on the treadmill daily for 30-45 minutes and increase the intensity when possible. It doesn't seem you really have much to lose, maybe regular exercise in itself will be enough.

well first of all, embrace yourself! you should know that the weight you are at is perfectly normal for a girl your age: check the BMI at seventeen.com. second of all, realize that you can't lose 10 pounds in a week. things like this take sometime, and you'll lose gradually.maybe about a pound a week. next, skipping meals is not going to help you, your body needs calories to burn (focus on skipping unnessarcy snacking and eat your regular meals). And that's about all you can do. just keep doing what your doing and try to be happy about yourself. maybe add some crunches and toning to your workout too! good luck and don't stress over losing, you really are fine!!

don't skip meals. when you skip meals, your metabolism slows down because your body thinks it's starving. so then, when you do eat, your body stores more of the fat. try eating small meals throughout the day. Take fruit with you to school, and on your breaks, eat the fruit. It's better for you than eating a bagel or other carbs that will just be converted into glucose (sugar)
