I am a single mom of a one year old. My week consist of going to school from 8am-9am 4 days out of the week, and then to work from 9:30am-5pm. I then go to school at night from 6:30pm-9:15pm three nights a week. When I come home those three nights I feed my son, bath him and put him to bed. By the time I read a little for class the next morning I only have enough energy to to take a shower. On saturday I go to work from 9-1 and come home to study for the coming week. Some nights when the baby gets to bed and I don't have any work to do I walk the neighborhood for 30 minutes. But lately I haven't at all. This coming semester is going to worse becuase my classes are getting harder and I have to start interning in a school, so I will be working longer on Saturday.I have been trying to get this baby weight off and I diet but thats not enough. I have lost 15lb on diet alone, but I gained much more than that. How do I get motivated to exercise and how many times a week and for how long?

2 ways:1. Find a friend (this doesn't always work)2. Pay a trainer - you really feel motivated when you are paying for an individual. Gym membership isn't the same - there is no accountability.

Whoa! Your schedule looks real tight.......How to motivate yourself to exercise? Many ways, in fact. But I'm giving you the most "workable" ones....Let's see:1. Kill off the excuse: " I don't have time to exercise". This is because you don't have time NOT TO! Once you realize that you're so much less effective if you aren't fit, this excuse dies away real quick.....2. Choose to do exercise you love and interested in doing. That way, you'll not feel the dread and drag your feet when it's time to exercise. In fact, because you enjoy doing the exercise, you look forward to doing it! Like in my case, I love walking, biking and dancing. I look forward to doing them and enjoying myself while doing them....So, if you love walking, walk then.....Dancing? Dance then!Jogging? By all means, go for it.....3. Hire a trainer - he/she will provide the right guidance and motivation and you're accountable to him/her to keep up to your side of the bargain. And when you're paying for it, you sure will do it......But I suppose you (and all of us in fact) don't have the bucks to hire one.......This article on why should you exercise may help you out also: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/why-should-people-exercise.html
