I need some advice or any help.I am trying to shed a few pounds, mainly around my midsection area. I have started going to the gym since Saturday. ( twice in one day, one hour each session in the morning and evening.) I do about 30 minutes cardio, mixing it up with power walk, and jogging. Then I lift weights on the machines for another 30 mins (10 lbs. ea. except for the ab workouts i increase it to 50 lbs.)My diet consists of, and only on a daily basisSpecial K cereal with skim milkSpecial K cereal bars (one a day)Light Yogurt Whole grain wheat bread (2 slices, sometimes 3)Meat; chicken, shrimp, eggs.Leafy veggies such as spinich, lettuce (usually have this for dinner with chicken, no salad dressing.)Broccoli, carrots, coliflower, somtimes pototoe (small portion)Plenty of water (usually go through 3 bottles, sometimes 4.)Oranges, bananas.I feel better about myself, but i dont feel like i am seeing results. I stand at 5'5 weigh approx 130 lbs. Any ideas?

it sounds like a wonderful fitness plan! 130 lbs is a good weight for someone who's 5'5. perhaps a good amount of that weight it muscle, for muscle weighs more than fat. you should be happy with your weight.. but from what i've heard, the best way to tone/lose your tummy is to jog, then do situps. jogging will lose the fat, & situps/crunches will tone the stomach so it won't look flabby. good luck!

It'll take about two weeks to start seeing noticeable results. Be patient and fight the urge to look in the mirror or weigh yourself every day (try once a week instead). Keep it up, you're on the right path!
