It depends on your height and weight.Running obviously burns more calories than walking.Go to the site I listed as a source. You can figure it out for yourself. Just remember, though, it all depends on how intense your workout it.

It also depends on if you are wallking/running for a set time or a set distance. Walking will help you burn more fat in the long run, where as running will initially use sugar for fuel. This is a good question without an easy answer, and is STILL debated highly all over the internet. Typically you will find (nose in the air) runners telling you that regardless of whether you are running or walking for time or distance, running will hands down beat walking for calorie burning. Scientists will tell you otherwise. The answer to how many calories yo uwill burn depends on your current fitenss level, as the first reply said, how much you weigh and your height.

Running would make you gain more muscle but when you walk, you're just burning off the calories. So in theory, running doesn't exactly make the numbers on the scale go down but it tones you up. Does that make sense?go to this website. http://www.mypyramid.gov/mypyramid/index.aspxIt'll tell you how many calories you burned.
