i am not in bad shape or overweight - but i was thinking i could be in better shape, but if i ever exercise, i ask myself 'whats the point?' i don't need to run anywhere or lift anything i can't already lift - i'm thinking its a vanity thing - which for me it would be, and i kinda don't want people to think - 'he's so vain' - so is getting in shape worth it?

hey, im pretty much in the same situation. I think it is worth it. If it makes you feel better then go for it. Try not to care about what other people think. In my view there is not any reason not to get into shape.

Only you can anser this one. I mean we can all sit here typing about all the fabulous health benefits or how great you will look, however unless you feel you need to get into serious shape it really does not matter what any else says.

Until recently, I was involved in a number of endurance sports. Needless to say, I was extremely fit and was very comfortable with myself and my body. However, throughout daily routine, there was very little to show for it. My advice is to take up some sport (where you play games, not races) or a hobby that you will continue to do for fun. This is ample exercise for most people. You could also try biking to work.

Getting in shape and being in shape and staying in shape is the point not to be vain but staying in shape is what we all want, so yes getting in shape is worth it.
