|
| ok. i am a college freshman that lives on campus. i really need to start working out and losing weight and building muscle for health reasons and plus i just want to look and feel better. there is a gym on campus but it is over-run my jocks (no offense) and i feel intimidated and won't go. i only live 20 minutes from my hometown with a gym but i don't have the time to go there...what are some exercises i can do inside and away from the gym (i will figure a way to muster up the strength to go to the gym on campus)?and what are some ways to change my eating habits considering its cafeteria food and snack food in the room?anything will help. thanks. |

| you can stay with cafeteria food but from inside stay away from the more fatty stuff. more low fat things. little changes basically. not like only going to vegan restaurants and such. simple things. for the workout, just do sit ups, push ups(normal ones), and cardiovascular exercise(running) start off real slow. Go out and work out 3 times a week and after 3 weeks of doing that, pick up the pace, and just keep that going. you wont need the gym because everything you really need is stuff you can do at home or outside. just be more active. |

| Try not to bring extra money in the cafetaria so you can only buy the meal and not any extra snacks. Try not to eat close to bed, because then the calories just sit their. In fact do sit ups and crunches before bed. Also on the weekends try going to the gym a lot. When your hungry try eating snacks like apples, fruit, vetables, and anything but junk food. Um... Grab some of you buddies and go on walks, play football together, and swim. That's probably the best thing you could do. Remember eat healthy, and exercise! |
