Stop lifting weights and concentrate on cardio. Check your diet. I'm not saying you have to low-carb your way through but you might be consuming too much sugars and starches to promote fat burn with muscle gain...

Remember, the scale is not your friend, you lose fat but gain muscle but it does mean you are getting some results

its always frustrating at first and it seems like it takes forever, and yeah your gaining muscles and dont keep track of it and always look for results every hour, and just before you know it, you'll see results, just dont focus on your body, focus on your workout and STICK TO YOUR WORKOUT, DONT GIVE UP

How many days a week do you work out? How long does it take you to run 3 miles? You may want to increase your cardio workouts to 45-60 minutes a day to burn additional calories.

I would need to see you diet in detail, but you may not be eating enough!. You body can be holding on to the energy because you are training a lot and not eating enough. Make sense?

What do you want to achieve? Are you trying to put on Muscle or loose weight? If you are putting on muscle then you want to do low repetitions at high weights. If you want to loose weight then its HIGH repetitions at low weights. Think of the difference between a 100m sprinter and a 15000 marathon runner.Muscle is heavier than fat too.One of the best calorie burners is Squats, with or without weights- though i recommend using a Swiss Ball for support. The reason being that the bum and legs are your biggest muscles and hence burn the most calories.

when trying to lose weight, the last thing you need to do is lift weights. They only build muscle mass, therefore making you gain weight. you should try various cardio workouts, and start running long distances (cross country).

It is hard, but stick with it. It will play off in the long run. In the short run, you should already be feeling better have more energy and I have no doubt gain muscle. You are fine. You didn't get the way you were over night, so just be patience it will happen. Stick with it. Your body will Thank you. Happy Holidays.

If your are weightlifting, you should be GAINING weight. Muscle is heavier than fat. I don't know how long you have been trying to lose weight, but you have to give it time. When you see the muscles growing, it will be an incentive to keep going. I purchased one of those scales that tells you how much fat and muscle you have and it helps me to know where I stand. It will also tell you your bone density and your daily caloric needs.
