what i mean is, would it be better to do a steady pace walking for 4 miles, or do a jog/walk for maybe 30 mins? which is better for weight loss.

NO. HIGH INTENSITY IS BETTER, IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE IN SOMETHING, YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO INCREASE THE INTENSITY. IF YOU DO HIGH INTENSITY YOU COULD BURN MORE CALORIES IN 15 OR 20 MINUTES, THAN YOU DO IN 2 HOURS OF LOW INTENSITY.

More AND harder is better. Your objective is to use more calories.Go harder = more calories per minute burned.Go longer = more total calories burned. No magic. "Fat burning zone" is a misleading concept. Forget about it.

One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few until I found a great one that works (its all natural too!). You can go to http://www.fit-diet-fun.us and order you free trial, also you only pay $6.95 shipping and handling. Good luck!
