I have a close friend who needs to lose about 25-30 pounds. I do what I can to support and encourage her, but so far she hasn't had much success with her weight loss.A big problem for her is exercising. Even though she is only about 30 pounds overweight, she is very physically unfit (her fitness level is more comparable to someone who is at least 50-60 pounds overweight). She needs to stop and rest every few minutes whenever she does any exercise more strenuous than a brisk walk on flat land or downhill. The fact that she has asthma doesn't help.I've told her several times that it will take a long time - maybe 6-12 months - to accomplish her goal, and that she needs to be patient. If anyone has some tips for her - especially with regard to exercise - that would be great. Not sure how best to describe her current eating habits. I guess you could say that they are reasonably healthy for a person who did not need to lose weight, but she probably needs to go take stricter measures when it comes to eating habits.

aquarobics? Seriously though, because she is so unfit it is going to be very slow going for her at first, but she will improve. Wasn't there some lady who had a clothesline diet? She was so unfit that she couldn't do more than walk around the clothesline once, but then she built it up to heaps and heaps, and lost weight, got fit.Maybe a gentle exercise at first would be best, like aquarobics, or swimming... she should make sure it's ok for her to exercise - quick visit to her docThat's great that you are supporting her Smile

There are many weight loss programs out there that have been beneficial for many and there are many that have caused more problems than benefits. So, when you embark on a weight loss program, consult experts and make sure that the program will suit your body. The best part about most weight loss programs is that you will most certainly lose weight if you follow the regimen to the ‘T’. However, the difficult part is maintaining the weight, as people tend to put on weight fast after discontinuing a weight loss program. For more details visit http://www.looseyourweight.info
