|
|
| I'm 5'8'' and weight 240. I want to get down to 160. I'm doing running and many strength exercises including upper body and abs to gain some lean muscle.I'm 22 so I think I'm young enough to avoid having a lot of hanging skin afterwards. Thoughts?Thank you so much! My mom has told me so long as I do weight exercises to gain muscle and so long as I lose the weight very gradually, I shouldn't have much loose skin. Because I really will never be able to afford plastic surgery and it just scares me anyway. So I just wanted to see what others thought, too. Thank you, I feel so much better now. |

| Since you are young you shoudlnt have too much of a problem and because you are doing it the right way as well. People get the loose skin mainly due to rapid weight loss after bypass surgery or extreme amounts of weight loss. |

| loose skin has NOTHING to do with how old you are. It will still be loose skin !you should to weight training also... just running will NOT make you lose alot. Weights will increase your metabolism and if you eat 4-x6x a day, yes a day, just eat smaller portions with healthy snacks. |

Definitely, you should be fine, especially the strength excersises, using weights will help tone and it will assure you don't have the excess skin, don't worry, you'll be fine |

| Lose the weight slowly and keep your skin nourished both inside and out and you should be OK! |

| You're right and doing okay. Eat better, avoid junk foods, drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits. Abs are great. A good tip is that running can make a huge difference helping avoid hanging skin, as all that shaking is a good massage. You must take care, because exercising without a proper diet, can increase your hungry and make you even fatter.Good luck, you'll do it. |
