|
|
| I have ran everyday for about the past week. I am 15, about 5 foot and 8 inches and weight under 130. I am very active and have been running in the training sense for the past few months (for track; distance). I eat supper healthy-so much that my parents and friends make fun of me or worry. . My question is that if i dont run today-I feel kinda bad in my stomach cuz i ate some cookies; and it is wet outside-wil that afffect me to badd? |

| One day off won't hurt you. You should change your routine periodically anyway. |

| not at all in a bad way... in fact it will help! Your body needs days off from excercise to rest and for the muscles to have time to build up. you should set a rest day in your excercise routine weekly... |

| Don't fall into the trap of not respecting the need to have off days. Recovery is probably the most underrated aspect of fitness and training. The day off will do you good. People that don't respect the benefits of days off eventually find themselves feeling run down and overtrained. When your motivation drops you can be pretty sure that you;re overtrained as CNS fatigue (central nervous system) and overtraining are intimately tied to one another. Another thing, you ate cookies. Big deal. It's really not a big deal. Trying to go and erase those calories with more exercise just leads to bad habits. It's what I call compensatory cardio or what others have called the Cardio Confessional. Truth be told you end up having to do a lot of exercise just to knock off a few hundred calories and in the grand scheme of things that few hundred calories simply isn't a big deal.Relax and take the day off. |

| Usually, for exercise, working out...4-5 days a week is the norm, as you need a day or two to let your muscles re-group from the tiny tears that occur when you work out. One day off will actually do you good! |

| One day of rest isn't going to hurt you, but more than likely help you. Whether it's working out with weights or running/cardio, the body and muscles need time to rest. Careful what you eat next time, just kidding. |
