I'm 13 years old....and towards the end of May we have a trip to Washington D.C...we can go swimming, and if im going to swim I dont want to have a gut and man boobs...I lift about 3 days on weekdays....I am on the school basketball team...we have conditioning after practice...and we mainly just do running drills in practice...im 5'7 175...please tell me what to do!!!

cut down on your diet and get an active hobby, i skateboard, theres a never-ending supply of tricks and its a fun work out, it just takes time to learn stuff so you cant quit easy, but find an activity related to you and your personality.

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. Eat lots of veggies and fruit, and stop any junk food if any. make sure you take lots of water, as you are still young, and make sure you eat healthy. for your gut, try some simple sit ups and crunches. you are young and should worry about working out to much, just run or cycle and eat healthy.

Cutting back on fried foods or lots of carbs (bread, pasta, doughnuts, etc.) is better for anyone. Try walking. See if your parents can get you a membership at a Y that has a good phys fitness program. Ask your coach at school to work with you on tightening up your chest and stomach.I was a dough boy when I was about your age. But I lost a lot of that when I got into high school. Running and the Army helped me take off the rest. Good luck.

You shouldn't be lifting weights at this age! Wait until you're 18 before you start weight lifting, or you'll not grow properly. As for your man-boobs, it's due to the fact that you're overweight. I suggest you to eat healthy food. Cut down on sweets and fatty foods. Eat alot of lean meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits. Keep up the cardio though, that's good for you. You could also do push-ups and sit-ups regularly. It's not considered weight-lifting. And it will help in getting your body toned.

Workout Workout Workout, Cardio will give you a good fit but not a good tight shape, workout never means only to hit weights, you can tight your chest by doing barbell bench with light weight and lots of repetition, do cross over, pull over, bench cross overs..... the trainer at the gym will give you a good training course that meets your needs. Workout can never be ealry, there is some body builders that compete at age 18 or younger so it's never early to start workinout but dont lift heavey weights.
