|
|
| Me and some friends have been wondering if our friend has some kind of eating disorder for a few months now. She seems to be getting worse. We are in year 9 at school and everyday she makes an excuse not to eat her dinner like "she can't eat whilst shes walking" or "her sandwich is too soggy" or she "forgets her dinner" she always goes on about being fat and shes not at all shes very thin and everyone thinks shes anorexic. one time i was at her house and i was starving and she was opening cupboards that were full of crisps and chocolate and saying theres nothing in. and i said what about all that food in there and she said she doesn't like eating unhealthy snacks because they make her feel sick :S i'm starting to get worried, she sometimes eats like a biscuit all day and thats it! Shes starting to look dead thin. What should i say to her? i confront her all the time but she just ignores me? is something wrong with her? please HELP!?! |

| something is wrong with her. She's ill. Seek help ASAP. Either she has diabetes or something so she can't eat sweet stuff or she's a freaking metal case. Avoid preppy girls cause they have no idea what's healthy. make sure she eats WAY more or sees a doctor. If she doesn't listen to you tell her parents. make sure adults know what's wrong. |

| I know what this feels like as i was in a similar postition not too lon ago. Talk to her about it but try not to be to harsh but make sure she knows that your not just gonna give in on the arguement. If it gets really serious tell her mum and your mum. It is important that you don't deal with this all alone. |

| first of all i would like to start out by saying i have been stuggling with eating disorders now for about 8 years so all of the information i am going to give you comes from my personal experianceone of the first things is that i would check and see if she always wears a purple or red bracelet (purpule for bulimia and red for anorexia) next i would bring up the issue to her very gently that you are begining to worry about her because she does not look good (it is very important that you do not use the words thin or weight AT ALL because it can actually trigger her to lose more weight) if she still denies it i storngly suggest thant you phone her parents to tell them about what you think is going oni know it seems like stabbing her in the back now, and she might get mad at you ( i kno i did when my friends did this) but honestly I am so thankful now that they did it whent they did because if they did not i really could be dead right nowthe most important thing is to just be as gentle as possible and make it clear to her that you are worried that she is going to kill herself, anorexia or bulimia, or anyother eating disored is very complex just keep that in mind |

idk about u but what i do is talk to my friends about being fat and all till they get paranoid about it. haha sorry. im gettin out of anorexia right now so i know what ur friend's doing.first off tell that ur concernssecond, look up info on ppl who hav done what she has done and show proof that it is bad for her to contuine what she's doingthird, if all else fails, consult adults (preferably her parents) its annoyin to do so but it helps to tell the ppl who love her lik parents and boyfriends that she's goin through thiswhen u talk to her, dont b too forceful becuz and just say u want her to stop, it pisses ppl off and then they'll just ignore u. giv her examples of models who have gone to eatin soo little that they have died from it!! some other examples would b lik if she's into gettin a guy, mayb not now, but in the future, guys wont b into her when she's stick thin and body concious. guys like it when girls r happy with how they r and dont care if ppl think that they're fat or not. boys like it when girls have curves oh and then there's health problems that come with it too. she'll end up with a heart disease, weak bones that can lead to osteoporosis. kidney failure, dead hair, pale white and dry skini know that ppl today r obsess with being thin, but whats the point of bein thin if it means being so thin u might as well b dead then alive? i mean if u just want to b the skinniest person on earth, just go become a skeleton, then u're the thinnest person on earth i mean they have NO FAT!! u need fat on ur body anyway, especially females since we r the bearer of the children to come |
