Just generally wondering what would be easiest to avoid becoming fat over christmas! I'm guessing just eating slowly, drinking lots of water and keeping healthy. Long walks etc. Any other suggestions?

Also, at Christmas parties, eat very little or just have a glass of punch or fill up your plate with veggies. Avoid egg nog or get the low fat type as that's super high in cals. Don't do much Christmas baking cuz then it's WAY more tempting to eat. Good luck!

you're right. exercising and watching what you eat will help you avoid gaining weight this holiday season. more than that though is your going to want to cut back on going to too many social events. there is just something about the ambiance of holiday parties and festivities that make us lose the will power to stay on track with our caloric intake. you might walk in with all the willpower in the world but once the night progresses you're likely to have done much more damage than you give yourself credit for.

if your right handed then eat with your left hand while at parties or vice versa... it may seem stupid but it honestly helpseven while eating with silverware use the opposite hand, then you'll eat less because you dont wanna embarrass yourself by eating sloppyhappy holidays!

You nailed it, common-sense living. Watch out for high-fat and high-sugar items, (Yeah, I know, at christmas???) and just do your best.

Well, nobody wants to miss out at Christmas so: I would advise, have everything. Just have it in little portions, that way you don't feel deprived but still get to have a festive treat. If you do this and drink loads of water and as you say go for a good brisk walk each day you should be fine.Remember, EAT BREAKFAST, this kick starts your metabolism and helpd burn off those Christmas calories

Besides the good things you mentioned, fill up on vegetables and eat a salad or drink water before you get to the get-together. it's very hard!!!!!

Not eating everything in sight. Just because its xmas you dont have to stuff yourself. But if your like me and cant resist the temptation then just excersize as much as you can. As long as your good most of the time i do not think overating will do much harm.
