I've been to WW before and understand it is an eating modification program - which helps a lot. But I am terrible with the exercise program part of weight loss. Would it be better to invest in Curves for the exercise portion and try to do the WW program on my own? (I can only afford one or the other). For health reasons I really need to lose probably 40 lbs. I want to lose it slow and healthily and keep it off.

Well, curves is a Gym, that has a couple of things on the shelves at the supermarket. Weight Watchers is a diet. YOu have to follwo points.... You will still have to exercise doing weight watchers, but you will be more aware of what you are eating.

cousin, you've already got evidence that you cannot follow the exercise part of good health and weight loss, so maybe it's worthwhile to have guidance and motivation provided by joining a gym for a short period (maybe a month). In that time, you can learn whether you can follow the eating wisely part on your own. It won't be easy. What works for some people is a weekly weigh-in and charting it, just like WW would do.

Curves is the best i heard that weight watchers don't really make you loose weight and the food is no good at all!But the best way to loose weight is my diet plan done wonders on a few friends of mines online.Try it out for 3 weeks and let me know if you like it.to get started no soda drink a gallon of water a day spring or distill no tap water!! or crystal light for your meals.Lunch eat a grilled chicken breast vegetables with light oil or margarine and a fruit.Dinner eat a tuna or chicken salad and a small cut of vegetables and a fruit.no eating after 7pm !!do 250 sit-ups in the morning and 250 sit-ups before bed.Try this for 3 weeks and see the difference only if you really want to loose weight.P.S.American Whey protein is also good for a replacement meal.Good taste and goes down smoothly.Been taking it for 5 yrs now.Good luck: CLICK ALSO ON TO MY FREE WEBSITE HAS FREE WORKOUT PLANS AND FREE DIET PLANS :)FROM THE STAFF OF BOEAFITNESS http://www.amazon.com/Whey-Protein-Powder-American-Nutrition/dp/B000XW VT7I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1197660714&sr=8-1

Exercise is the biggest key to losing weight period. So maybe try taking a Transitions Class in your area. That will help educate you on why you do certain things and that should help you make a better decision. Cuz i found its a lot easier to make a decision if I am fully educated on all of my options. I'm not sure the website name but I normally shop on www.tkshopintl.us and there is a transitions link on there that brings you to the site with all the transitions info on it. Thats the only reason I know what transitions is. Check it out for yourself maybe it will help. So my suggestion is go to the Gym and educate yourself.

I got to Curves. Yes it is a workout program because it is easy to stick to and the best part is it is only 30 mins for 3 days a week. Of course you can go more if you want. Check with Curves to see if they offer a weight management and diet plan course. The center I go to is going to include this in the membership in 2008. So this would be good for you. The two things you want all in one. Good Luck!!!
