Is that helpful towards losing weight? Because your stomach is empty do you just burn the fat? Im 16(17 in Jan)i was 278 june 1st i am now 201 i want to build up my endurance now that ive lost all the weight that i feel like losing. iss that a good way to start? Start around a mile a day and build up during the month. I play football at my school so i lift in the morning and i go to the gym after school (mostly cardio since i lifted in the morning)Am i on a good start to being healthy? Im trying to get ready for Basic Training. Also what do you think about swimming.

Congrats on the weight loss! I know it's not easy. Continue to read about nutrition and exercise and add healthy changes to your life as you can. For myself it was weaning off sugar, including lots of veggies in my diet, adding more exercise throughout my entire day. One of my best helps was walking off dinner. It was the hardest meal not to overeat. A walk within 2 hours after a meal keeps any simple carbohydrates from converting to storage (fat), instead they are the first thing burned for energy! I find a Walk run combo will build my endurance for the long haul. I go out and do 2 to 3 miles in the least time possible by alternating run and fast walking.Good luck, you are already a success story, By adopting this lifestyle you will extend your life and feel so much better!

Running isn't meant for everyone, but if you have no problems with knee's and other aches and pains and if you have good shoes, then go for it! I love running, it's done wonders for me. I would start by mapping out a 3 mile course or on treadmill. Start by running for as long as you can and slowly! When you feel you need to walk, do so, then pick up running when your ready. Do this at least 2-3 times a week, if not more. Within 4-6 weeks, you should be able to run that whole distance and with time and practice, you should be able to get quicker with your time. Run anytime you want! I run in the morning on an empty stomach but I've run in the evening at least 2 hours after a small meal and that's nice too. Whatever works for you! Great job with the weight loss, eat right and keep up the working out and you'll see more results - good health - addicting isn't it?!
