| I'm going to fast for two weeks, but I'm wondering what I should change in order to make sure I stay as healthy as possible. I've heard about taking Vitamin C supplements and maybe even drinking water with added electrolytes (if I can find it). Other than these things, what can I do to stay as safe as possible? Have people had heart attacks after two week water fasts? What are the dangers? Thanks!This isn't about losing weight, and I really don't want lectures. |

| This is something you need to call a doctor about. I don't think you necessarily need to go in for an exam or anything, but seriously talk to a doctor. |

| What is the purpose for you wanting to fast? If you are wanting to lose weight... fasting will not help. |

| Why?Our body is not meant to work without food. Just try and run your car without fuel.......doesn't work! You will be in serious danger of vitamin and mineral deficiencies. You will stress your heart, deplete your blood (anemia). |

| Prayer and fasting go together. Well you need vitamins, and minerals so drink something like ensure and take vitamins. Fast for this long have to be ended right; light foods soup and juices. You can do damange to the body. So be careful to read books on the proper way to fast and how to stop a fast. |
