I need to drop some pounds really quickly. Crash diets are bad, I'll gain it back plus more, blahblahblah, mercury poisoning, I know. I'll get back to losing weight in a healthy fashion AFTER the event. It's just temporary and I want to lose some weight for an event. I've been hearing about the tuna diet, but was wondering if anyone who has tried it could tell me how it worked out for them? Or if there is any other quick slim down tips that have worked for you? I'm working out 2X a week, taking vitamin supplements and drinking tons of water. Work out ideas are cool too, but I can only go twice a week for an hour. Just tips that have worked for you please thanks! |

| I lost 1 and a half inches off my stomach in 4 weeks by hula-hooping. I'm sorry if its not 2 weeks but getting slim takes time.I could suggest something but you made it clear you just want to know what worked for us. |

| You will need to find out the root cause of your weight gain, with that you can plan out a weight loss goal. You will only achieve your goal with a realistic plan.Skip meal wont make you loss weight. According to statstics, it will only make you gain more weight at end of the day. |

| Tuna works well. It is really good and good for you. Remember that the mercury advisory was issued for PREGNANT women not to eat a large volume of high mercury fish. The advisory was never meant to scare the general public away from eating Chunk Light and small Albacore tuna. Here are the FDA mercury numbers:Chunk light: .118 ppmAlbacore: .353 ppmTheir study doesn't distinguish between types of Albacore. Almost all the store bought albacore has this high (.353) of a mercury level, because it is imported from Asia, and it is bigger, older fish.Oregon state university did a recent study on smaller West Coast Albacore. SMALL ALBACORE: .140 ppm (almost the same as chunk light)The small albacore are much higher in Omega 3's and Protein and lower in mercury. It also tastes way better. I buy it online from http://CannedAlbacoreTuna.com which only sells small albacore, and my mom and some of my friends buy it from tuna boats on the west coast. It costs more than the supermarket fish, but it is 3 times lower mercury and tastes better. You are also buying a can of tuna meat instead of a can of water. On the Canned Albacore Tuna web site there is a health and nutrition page that covers the mercury issue using the OSU data.Remember a lot of the mercury scare is done by the "Don't hurt the fish" types for political reasons. |
