Well, it's not really a city city like NEw York, but I mean, I live in Huntington BEach, CA. I can't afford a gym membership, and I live on the top floor of an apartment, so it's hard to do too much like exercise videos, (cuz people underneath me) When I get off work, it's dark (5:30), so what are my options? I used to live wtih my parents and I could go running just outside like-running around for cardio, but I live alone I"m a 21-year-old girl. It's not safe to just go running randomly, esp. at night. Have any ideas for cardio after work? I can go running on the weekends in the park, but what about like during th week?

One easy idea that comes to mind immediately is for you to run up and down your apartment stairs. Carry a few bags of groceries with you too.

dumbbells. They cost little, take little space. The results are tremendous!an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on astool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine!Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times.Every week add to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week. Google for more exercises with them.

Hey! Does your apartment block have indoor swimming pool?If have, go for a swim then.....Yes, stair climbing is a choice too, but it's boring.....What about jumping on a trampoline? That's quiet enough and provide you with one of the best cardio workouts around.....This article on trampoline jumping explains it all: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/trampoline-exercises.html
