There is no standard for running, all people are different, but based on caloric loss i'd say no. I do 3.1 miles a day, sometimes on the treadmill and I burn between 4-6 hundred calories each time and im not losing an incredible amount of weight. (about 1 pound a week)

spring semester as in january 13th-ish?? if so, you have one month to do that which is pretty impossible. i would aim to lose 10, if that. what you're doing sounds okay, but you should really work out between 45min and 1 hour. i fyou can run for thirty minutes, walk the extra 15 or 20 minutes. build up the running though, because your body is going to get used to it and it won't be as effective. also, make sure your diet is healthy and CLEAN. diet is by far more important than exercise in weight loss. to lose as much as you want to, i would suggest 1200 calories a day. perhaps even less if you can stand it.also, use the incline on your treadmill.

I would suggest upping your running to 5 times a week. Also, try increasing the incline % to increase intensity. Alternate moderate and high intensity. You can measure this by taking your heartrate.Weight training is also good. Just be sure to do it before your running so you won't be so tired you can't lift with good form.

the exercise ur doing is superb but u have to take some balance diet too with that exercises. try the tips below1) Cook your food without any food oil try to use boiled/steamed vegetables, meat, and lot of salad. U can eat fruits too and boiled/steamed chicken or red meat too but no pork.2) Potato is strictly forbidden during this diet3) Don’t eat any type of junk food.4) Drink at least 3 ltr of water daily. Make ur habit to drink water as much as u can6) use brown bread7) use skimmed and low fat milk and yogurt8) no sugar of any type.9) First try to avoid any type of soft drink but if u really wants to taste some thing sweet then drink diet pepsi if u like, but just one glass once in a week.10)U can eat vegetable soap too as much as u can but no corn flour in it. 11) if u feel hungry then divide ur diet into 5-6 healthy meals a day (1 plate size only) 12) one bowl of oatmeal can be taken as a break fast13) At least take this diet for 3 to 6 months and when u feel that u have achieved your desired weight then make ur eating life style as told above but occasionally u can take other junk food too.
