I am 170lbs with 35% body fat. I want to lose 2-3 dress sizes but will settle with 2. Plan - 1400 cals a day, in this way, 400(breakfast) 100(snack) 400(lunch) 100(snack) 400(dinner) Will this work or is it too much?? And i am going to do 3-4 sets of 30 mins cardio throught the day(since I dont work at the mo, and have no activity anyway)what do u think? Is it too much to hit my goal to lose 2-3 dress sizes? Thanks!!thanks for ur answers guysxx

Has no one ever told you that if you are going to do that amount of exercise you need to eat more. If you eat 1400 calories and do that amount of exercise your body will go into starvation mode and you will not lose any weight. Stick with 2000 calories and just do the exercise.

Just do it!Here are some good ideas:1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Beans, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, white potatoes, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn’t be eating.4. Drink clean water as your beverage of choice. Avoid Fruit drinks and fruit juices (unless YOU juice them yourself)5. Stop smoking, drinking beer & wine, and drinking coffee.6. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.7. Hang out with people who want to be healthy.8. Avoid anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup.Tone up the muscles:1. Join a gym and get a trainer.2. If you’re short on cash, start a light stretching & yoga regimen.3. Do push-ups, and light dumbbell curls for the upper body.4. As I said above, walk, run, swim, and or bike5. Take an aerobics class, a yoga class, or some other fitness class.6. Join the local YMCA.7. Buy or borrow this book by Bill Pearl called GETTING STRONGER. http://www.billpearl.comIn the book, he describes everything you need for a great fitness plan.8. Compare your fitness scores to other people by clicking on the President’s Challenge Brochure link here: http://www.presidentschallenge.org/misc/downloads.aspxMental Health:1. Get a friend to talk to each day about your feelings.2. If you have some money or insurance, get a counselor to talk to.3. Learn how to meditate.4. Join a support group for the issue you’re dealing with.5. Ask your Higher Self (or God) for guidance.6. Start keeping a diary or journal about your feelings & thoughts.7. Write a ‘gratitude’ list every night.8. Do something that makes you happy each day like: listen to your favorite music, draw, paint, write, or anything creative.9. Do something for someone else who needs help.10. If the above suggestions don't improve your mental health, talk with your therapist about the possibility of taking some medication.Take care of yourselfYam King

As long as you consume less calories than you take in, you will lose weight. The fad diets you mentioned in your first paragraph do not work for the long term. In order to lose weight successfully (i.e. long term), you need a sustainable lifestyle change.I would recommend using a site like www.thedailyplate.com to track your diet and exercise. It will tell you how many calories to eat (I would suggest aiming to lose no more than 1% of your body weight per week and consuming at least 1200 calories a day after exercise). The site is free and has helped me lose 30 pounds.Good luck!

You have very little time to hit that kind of result but you can at least try what worked for me. Your calorie plan is on track but I have some ideas to take a bit further. When you take a plate of food, only take as much as the size of your fist. Eat often, about every 2 to 4 hours. Here is the first hard part, cut out, all alcohol, all fried foods, sugar drinks, chips, moderation on pasta/bread and cut out all desserts! Also do not do the foods that are made to be low fat or diet, such as diet cheezes, diet soda, etc. Drink LOTS of water. Excercise EVERY DAY! Rather than 3 to 4 sets of cardio per day, do one hour as soon as you get up in the morning. This will help increase your metabolism. Since you have the option, go ahead and do another form of exercise at night, you can go heavy cardio again or tone it down a bit to Yoga or pilates (this is the option I took). Also, DO NOT LAY AROUND! Be sure to keep moving all day, clean the house, organize your cabinets, walk to the store, wash your car - anything but lay around. Last but not least, I found an ebook that helped me to so go visit http://tiffanyw34.loss120lbs.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=weight2 GOOD LUCK!

Get a grip. You've tried HOW MANY different programs since October? You give each one a week or two and move on? Of course you don't get any results!!!!!!The program you've outlined is sensible, and will result in weight loss over time. IF YOU STICK WITH IT!!!!! You might lose 8-10 lbs by mid January if you stick with it. Not easy through Christmas, though. Good luck.
