They tell you that low impact burns the most fat and calories. I would start using it 30 mins a day with like a 3% incline if you have an incline setting... and go about 2mph. work your way up to the highest incline you can go, and keep your speed really low.. like 1-1.5mph. use mine all the time, i use mine more for the health benefit, instead of weight loss. but it's great for both.

Perform this routine in non-consecutive days for 3 to 4 times a week.Warm up for 4 to 5 minutes in a slow to moderate speed.Slowly increase speed through an interval of 1 minute.Your highest speed (basically a short sprint) for a maximum for 2 minutes.Slow down to a moderate speed for about 4 to 5 minutes.Cool down for 6 to 8 minutes.Combined with a good diet, you will be seeing results in a matter of 2 to 3 weeks.

30 minutes of movement total. This is 5 minutes of relaxed walking to warm up, 20 minutes of fast paced walking or jogging, then 5 minutes of slow paced walking to cool back down again... you'll want the cool down so you don't get a pounding head ache or step off dizzy. This is just to get you started, as a beginner. After about a month, up the fast paced walking/ jogging session to 30 minutes. As you get more energy from loosing weight, you'll feel up to it.

Try running as far as you can the first day and then progress from there slowly. Run at whatever pace that is comfortable to you just go.

The thing about weight loss is it takes a three action approach. 1. burn more (exercise), 2. eat less 3. build muscle.Do your treadmill daily, more than 20 minutes no more than 40 minutes. 3-4 times a week do muscle building exercise, no more than an hour at a time. Eat less and eat more sensibly. Eat breakfast, dont skip meals. this just triggers a fat building mechinism in your boday as it protects itself against starvation. Drink more water. Good luck. Oh and measure your weight often so you can see the results of your actions.
