If they do, how so? Can they be harmful? How do you know which ones are best for you...maybe without consulting a doctor? (When you are under 18.)

i personally dont believe they are very effective.taking a pill isnt going to miracously trim your body, or else EVERYONE would do them.they might help boost metabolism or something SLIGHTLY.but i say stick with a good diet containing lots of lean meat high in protein and green leafy vegetables, with regular exercise, and you will lose lots of weight the HEALTHY way

Commercial diet pills can be dangerous - remember the PhenPhen ones pulled for c ausing heart attacks? Even if they were safe, pills are a temporary fix. The only healthy way is exercise and a healthy diet. Plus, those make you feel better too!

Taking diet pills only raise your metabolism a little bit. You need to follow a strict diet and do lots of cardio and a little weight training to get the best results. (if you're trying to lose weight). Just taking pills and now exercising or eating right will not help at all. They will just get you discouraged. Eating right and exercising will raise your metabolism anyways so the pills don't help that much. Though if you are interested, you should talk to a doctor first to see which ones are best for you.

There are many different kinds. There are some that decrease your appetite, there are some that are stimulants and make you hyper, there are some that 'emulsify' fats and make you poop (laxatives) and there are others that make you pee (diuretics)They all have the potential for danger. If you are prone to high blood pressure, the stimulants might make your blood pressure spike. Over long term you could have a heart attack. There's also the potential for addiction on the stimulants and appetite decreasers...Laxatives and diuretics are bad because you eliminate both good and bad vitamins and fats from your body. Plus, it's kind of awkward to run to the bathroom every hour. Obviously they work because you poop and pee all your food out. Obviously they aren't idea because you can end up with a deficiency in vitamins which could inhibit your ability to lose weight once you get off of the pills. (Ie: if you end up iron deficient, anemic, you'll find yourself totally sluggish. You'll be completely drained, with no energy.)None of them are 'good' for you. And the second you stop taking them, you will gain weight. They work if you have a wedding or grad and want to pee out 10 pounds for your big day (fully expecting to regain the following week). If you have a condition - feel dizzy, high blood pressure, diabetes ANYTHING, you need to ask a doctor if you could take one of these. If you have 'Herbal Magic' in your area - they are the best. You need to find a Herbal Magic dealer...you need a membership, but if you can find someone with a membership you can recruit them to become your personal dealer...Other than that, it's trial and error for you. I'll save you 30$ by telling you Meta Slim doesn't work. If you feel jittery, lightheaded, dizzy, sick, crampy, anything, after starting the pills you need to get off them and see a dr. asap.If you want them to work faster, eat less junky food and exercise.

Most of the time - a person considering diet pills is not mentally ready to lose the weight. These people are looking for the easy way out. They want to be able to half-ass it in the gym- and expect results. MOTIVATE YOURSELF. You will only lose the weight when you are mentally prepared. Hard work, blood, sweat, and tears.

Let me ask you a couple questionshow much weight do you want to lose? Are you looking to lose weight without having to diet or exercise? Are you looking for something to help eliminate random cravings? I understand what your looking for something that can help you lose weight a little faster than diet and exercise. Diet and exercise works but if you need to start losing weight like next week .Cause you could start using a Caloric restrictor that automatically restricts the amount of calories in your body. These caloric restictors even work without diet or exercise and even eliminates cravings for foods. So you can still eat your regular foods but you'll take in less calories and start losing a few pounds a week. Is that what your looking for?The one I'm using I take 2 pills twice a day before i eat and I notice it reduces my appetite and its helped me burn the fat of my tummy and mainly my middle section. Plus its made with vitamins and herbs. Even if you want some free information on this caloric restrictor check http://www.akavarpills.com
