Thing is, I don't really get what into shape is. Does it mean simply becoming a thinner and healthier or is it having a six pack and the body that all the ladies will love?Like many others, I want to know how to get "that body". Maybe not so intense on the six pack, but definitely getting into the shape that'll make them holler at the beach.I know cardiovascular exercises are supposed to burn the most calories and eating right is a factor, but is that all it takes?I have a 37 in. waistline that I wanna make smaller. My belly isn't that big, but it's big enough to be unattractive. (Sticks out 1-2 in. away from the pelvis?) I was wondering if I started jogging/running for about 30-45 minutes per day, 3 days per week - how long do you think it'll take approximately? (Months, years) I eat midly healthy also, not always the healthiest but I try.I hope to hear from your personal experiences or thoughts. Thanks for the help and insight.

Lose Weight with these FoodsLose weight with sweet potatoes. These satisfying legumes are an excellent source of soluble fiber, which slows digestion, keeping you full longer.Prevent hibernation fat by sipping Green Tea. To counter act a binge, keep your body's fat-burning furnace running on full blast by drinking green tea. Green tea contains caffeine and the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is proven to boost metabolic rate. In fact, in a recent 3 month study, participants who took green tea extract lost 4.6% of their body weight without changing their diet. To get the benefit, drink at leat 3 cups a day. Lose up to 40% more weight with Calcium-rich foods. Researchers links calcium with lower stress-hormone cortisol production (cortisol switches the body into a fat-storing mode), and it has been proven that women who increase their intake lose up to 40% more weight than calcium avoiders. Sources of Calcium include yogurt, ricotta cheese and spinach.Curb overeating with Grapes. Enjoying 1 cup each day can boost insulin sensitivity by 7%, and that translates into a 42% drop in erratic blood sugar, binge eating and weight concerns, USDA studies suggest. The credit goes to cyanidin, kaempferol and phenolics. 30-45 min per week is good. But try to increase it to 45 mins 5x a week as progress further into your diet.My sis lost 20lbs by running for 45mins 5x week and eating healthy. That was the only kind of exercise she did! During the first couple of weeks she did not eat processed junk (she cooked her own meals), but later on she did. Since her metabolism skyrocketed she could eat anything.Goodluck!

I used to be a personal trainer for a gym and this was a question many people had. The key is to eat right and track what you eat. Check out the free website "fitday.com" because it is free and does all the guess work for you when it comes to dieting. It also tells you how to diet for your body type. Running is not the cure all for losing weight. Your body can adapt to the exercise and you will actually slow down from losing the weight. Your body needs to be shocked. What I mean by that is run twice a week and bike or tread climb twice a week. The best program I have found by far and none is P90X. Google search it to find out more. This program has done more for me at home than any gym. You may spend $200 for the program and equipment but you have it for life. A gym membership cost you that in about 6 months. Remember 30% exercise, 40% diet, and 30% sleep. Get your 8 hours of sleep for your body to react. I hope these tips help!

Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers. Its from a workout that also contains a section for females and males which is excellent.Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup positionand then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees aremoving in under your chest and then back out to startingposition. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat onthe floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward inaddition to the leg movements. This really makes it a fullbody exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers. After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds beforestarting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes aftercompleting each "tri-set" before repeating. This will give you one of the best ab workouts you've ever hadwithout even doing any direct ab exercises. You'll see what Imean after you try it!Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen. There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.absbomb.com that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent. It helped me greatly.
