I'm a teenager and I'm on the 1st level of overweight. I've exercised good before but never stuck with it. Since I'm a teenager, theres highschool and I really just want to get in shape and be skinny. Not for everyone else but for myself. I doing about 30 minutes and stomache exercises,10 minutes of leglifts and push-ups, and 20 minutes of running/walking/biking. I do those 5 days a week. I'm also trying to watch what I eat. But since I'm overweight I have extra fat on my stomache so I need to loose the fat and build muscle. Does anyone have suggestions and how does my plan sound? And when do you think I'd start seeing results?

First...the body is just a machine...turn up the intensity & you`ll burn more...it`s not what you put into the machine,it`s how much you burn....do more cardio & less resistance exercise [for now]...no sugar, mayo, oil, bread, white rice, potatoes. lots of water...go nuts on the cardio....after a month, start building musckles again, they EAT fat!!.....good luck & DONT QUIT.....

Lower your calorie intake by eating fruits and vegetables. Celery is good because you burn more calories eating it than you gain from it. Stay off a high carbohydrate food intake and stay away from soda, drink water. Weight training is good but at your age you should work on cardiovascular exercises rather than focusing on weights. You are still growing so it may take a while, hang in there and you will achieve your goal. Do not give up, a lot of people your age do not sound as committed as you, so keep up the good work and stay away from those sugars, also listed as mono and polysacharides, and high fructose. My best wishes to you.Jeremy
