I'm a 15 year old girl, 5'7 and 175-180 pounds.I wear pant sizes anywhere between 10-14I have a chubby stomach that just wont go away.My bmi says that I'm only a few pounds away from being obese. But I do not feel obese, and I never really even thaught I was this "big"I play hockey around 5 nights a week, at a very competitve level. So, my question is, how can I loose some weight without using a treadmill(do not have one) and not buying any pills.Thank you.

Since you work out regularly, just cut down on some food intake. you'll be really hungry at first, but your bod will get used to it. Also, if you are very athletic, unless you get a caliper or water measurement of BMI, it will say you are overweight. A lot of that weight might be muscle, but an online or formula calculator won't take that into account.

Well, if you're really active then it could be muscle I would suggest in my opinion dropping 5 pounds maybe but consult your doctor first!

you should eat lots of greens and never even think about getting a pill. don't obsess over our weight. that can seriously mess your whole life up with just one thought. get on a diet that you would be able to live with and each day take a sweet out of your diet and replace it with a fruit or vegetable

You are young and you are still growing my advice is to wait a little longer before considering loosing wait..You will eventually "grow" into your weight..If you dont feel obese then why try to loose the weight? You seem to live a healthey life-style with playing hockey and stuff not everybody can be skinny..

first of all, fat does not mean ugly. american culture favors the thin, but luckily Dove and others are trying to change that. if you feel healthy, you probably look it too Smile if you do decide you want to diet, avoid dangerous diet pills. you are only 15 so you are still growing. consider your diet and it's really simple. fast food is very bad, chips and junk food are clearly no good. plenty of fruits, vegies, and pretty much what the food pyramid says is great advice. dont worry about your weight. just eat healthy (no straving yourself...that actually increases weight gain because the body goes into starvation mode and the metabolism slows down, and the body starts to store fat.)

You can run around your neighborhood and eat healthy. When I run I bring my iPod, it helps me to push forward and keep running. Personally, I think running out on the streets is more fun that a treadmill. Good Luck.

1-Jumping jacks (cardio)2-Squats(thighs)3-Talk to your doctor and see what he/she says. If you still feel like you need to lose cut out all junk no matter what your cravings are. Just close your eyes and picture yourself 20 pounds bigger and then picture yourself your goal weight. You will drop down that chocolate bar or whatever in a second! Also read nutrition facts. Not many people do that and they should. You know what's going into your food and what's not. Keep playing hockey but when you do have free time see if you can join something such as track or basketball or my very favorite soccer. You don't have to feel like a newbie and ask friend to go with you. Also by a pair of jeans the size you want to be and every week on the same day whether it is monday, tuesday, wednesday pr saturday, take 2 minutes to see if you can fit into them. You know you're close when they start to be able to fit into your thighs. Also push ups and sit ups!!!!!! If you want your tummy to go away that is what you must do! You cannot just wish your fat away. You have to do something about it. Try doing 20-45 sit ups each day. Go at your own pace and do as many as you can. Each day you will probably be able to do at least 1 or 2 more. Also buy a cardio or fat burning exercise video. The CRUNCH videos I really reccomend. Also Hip-Hop Abs(you have to order it) is good too. Take my tips and also if you google Calorie Burn Estimater if you see a website healthstatus.com i think, all the exercise things you do you can see how many calories you burn. 3,500= 1 pound. See if you can lose about 1,000 a day. If you do you will see results in no time!
