| The ACSM says you should do cardio for atleast 30 minutes per day. The American College of Sports Medicine offers guidelines for cardiovascular, flexibility and resistance training. The guidelines are flexible enough to allow you to pick your own exercises but have enough structure to get you going when you first start out. | it depends on what type/ speed you are travelling on the treadmill...but i'd say around 20 mins |

| A good question with no easy answer. What are you trying to do? Lose weight, Run/Walk a marathon or improve your overall health. Moreover you should not be exercising on the treadmill more than four times a week, not everyday. You should re-ask your question with goals included. "How long should I walk on the treadmill if I am trying to lose 20 lbs" is a better question. Lastly cardio lasting longer than 45 minutes tends not to have additional benefit for weight loss or strengthening. But it will make you really sore. |

| try to go for 30 miniuts and if you want to take a break try just walking 45 miniuts! |
