My brother is in track, and said i should stick around 140 while running/jogging or anything. My average was 160, and for the last 5 minutes or so it was 188 for like 2 minutes, and at one point got over 201-203. will i lose more weight if my heart rate is this high?are there any risks? my asthmas is still acting up! I started running at 8:15, i got done running at 8:50. it was mostly jogging, some running and a little walking.i want to lose weight, NOT gain muscle.i have alot of muscle, plus i do 3 reps of 15 with arms, and legs but it is a low weight, so im losing fat but not gaining muscle! :] i am at around 125-127 lbs. Im 14 yrs old, and am only 5'2.. most fat is in my legs. but i have alot of muscle. i wear a size 4-6 in juniors jeans, and a small or medium in tops. [ b**bs hurt in small but stomache && arms fit. ]what would be the best running heart rate and things like that for my age, and everything!?please give me tips, and things with this.thanks so much!!! :]BY THE WAY:My brother is in track, and said i should stick around 140 while running/jogging or anything. Whoa... 201 is way way way too high even for someone your age. You should keep yours around 145-175 in order to burn fat and get a good cardio workout. A better diet is always a good idea as well, and make sure you drink plenty of water the days you exercise. it is essential.
