Depending on your age, weight and other activities, you burn about 1000-1600 calories per day without any exercise. So if you burned 630 calories on the treadmill, you should lose weight. Even on a diet you need to intake about 1000 calories. Otherwise your body will go into starvation mode and not let go of any of it's stored fat. Then you're defeating the whole purpose.

your body burn calories constantly throughout the day for metabolic work....... even if u r just laying on the coach.......... 630 calories in only 35 mins on a treadmill is pretty intensive workout so don't worry about it...... you still have 500 calories left for dinner =)

Those calorie counters on treadmills aren't always accurate, first of all. Secondly, you're not taking into account the number of calories you burn just living. Your body burns quite a bit just functioning every day, and even when you sleep. The average adult needs around 2000/day just to maintain, and that's when they're not even exercising.Actually, to lose a pound a week (healthy), you need a daily calorie deficit of 500 to add up to 3500 per week (the amount of calories in a pound of fat - I was mistaken before). You're doing fine. Eat dinner. You could have a 1300 calorie dinner and probably be fine, just make sure it's healthy food (lean protein, whole grains, VEGGIES!). Remember, if you starve you won't lose weight. Your body will want to store it. You should eat something small every 2-3 hours. Good luck!Play around with the calculators on this site for a good idea of what you need to take in, how much you will burn, how long it will take to lose weight, etc. http://www.caloriesperhour.com/

That 630 calories is in addition to the calories you burn with everyday activities. You burn calories even in your sleep. There are many ways to calculate your needs but this link has a pretty good calculator for daily caloric needs. The average is usually between 1500 and 2500 daily. http://www.ahealthyme.com/topic/calneedWith a good diet and exercise program you should eat about 500 to 750 calories less than what you need each day. So if your needs are 1700 calories and you burn 630 each day you could eat 1580 to 1830 calories a day. Hope this helps.

Your body needs around 1200 calories a day to maintain normal body functions. Anything less than 1200 calories a day is dangerous. If you eat too little calories you will not lose weight. Your body will start holding onto the food you eat, because it will not know when it will get more. The best way to lose weight is to eat between 1200-1500 calories a day. Exercise for 30 minutes each day and drink lots of water, 8 cups per day. It worked for me. Remember it will take time to lose weight. Good luck and be healthy.
