I was at 148 lbs at 28 weeks and was detected with Gestational Diabetes and put on a diet. Since then I have reduced by about 7 lbs in 8 weeks and am at 141 lbs. My OBGYN says the baby's size looks fine and so does my US at 35 weeks. I have been able to keep my sugar level under control with the diet and since 28 weeks after GD diagnosis have been walking about 40 mins every day (3 walks of 15-15 and 10). Am I walking too much? I am otherwise very active with my first kid and normal household chores. I am terribly worried that I have been reducing very rapidly. My husband asks me to start taking liberties with food, but I am so overwhelmed with this whole GD thing that I dont feel like eating any more and even if I do I feel guilty that I might be jeopardising my baby's health. The Dr says not to worry with my weight as long as she sees that baby growing right size. I am very worried. Please help.

You need to concentrate on what you CAN eat and not on what you CAN'T eat. Get a book about the glycemic index - there are good carbohydrates with low glycemic ratings and bad carbohydrates with high glycemic ratings. You just need to eliminate the bad carbohydrates and limit saturated fats.A good book is The New Glucose Revolution by Dr. Stephen Colagiuri.

Hi,I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.better-life-thinner.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.Good luck!
