| You do not sound like you need to lose weight, but exercise is always a good thing. Especially strength training, which comes in different exercises from lifting weights to jump roping, because it builds muscle and because muscle requires calories to burn all the time you can eat more and not gain weight. If you maintain a 1200-1300 calorie diet and burn 300 calories from running as well as perfoming daily chores and walking up/down stairs, you will probably lose some weight. |

| The equations are like this:Calories In = Calories Out(Weight stays the same)Calories In < Calories Out(Weight goes Down)Calories In > Calories Out(Weight goes Up)So, if you eat the same as when your weight stays the same, but start exercising, then you're burning more calories than you're taking in. Therefore, you'll lose weight. Calories In less than Calories Out.So, no. You won't gain weight (except maybe an increase in lean muscle mass). If you want to maintain your weight, you'll actually need to eat more to compensate for the exercise. |
