So this past year I have gained around 40 lbs (college drinking). So I went from being a cute 6 ft guy at 150 lbs to a 190 lb monster. It pisses me off because not only do I look bad but also most of my clothes won’t fit now. I have a lot of self control so I can do a South Beach regimen, but I want to drop faster. Now I know all the typical "oh your health!" this and that and your traditional left-wing nut jobs who preach about inner beauty and all that crap but I really need to drop quickly so please answer my question without cynicism or stupid answers please.I want to plan a diet that consists of proteins (mostly grilled meat) and celery/veggies. Therefore it would be low carb and would put it me on ketosis mode. I would drinks lots of water, take a vitamin supplement and exercise. I hope that maybe this way I would lose an average of 30 lbs a month and drop to my ideal 140 lbs healthily. I’m only 19 so health isn’t an issue and this would be a one-time thing How does it sound?

Your diet sounds fine since you will be getting enough protein and nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Also, the exercise is important. A healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week because rapid weight loss is dangerous to your health. Also, my mom did the South Beach diet and didn't even exercise and she lost 25 pounds in a month.

If your school has a health center, you might be able to get a reputable answer from a dietician for free. And just keep eating sensibly, exercising thirty min.s a day and drink only water (lay off a bit on the alcohol). sounds like a good plan.

I promise you it'll backfire on you. The faster you lose it the faster it will come back and you'll gain a few pounds extra for your trouble. You'll also start yourself on a path of endless yo-yo dieting...go with 1500 calories a day and hit the pavement hard for 40 to 60 minutes every single day..you should be losing 8 to 10 pounds (maybe more if you sweat more) a month. This is the only healthy way you'll do it and have lasting results...good luck

As long as your eating grilled chicken breasts and mixed, steamed greens you'll get plenty of nutrition but thirty pounds a month is unachievable what I suggest is to forget about weight and look at body fat, if you gain 10lbs in muscle not only will your metabolism go through the roof but you'll also look way better.
