In aerobics, my teacher made us wear heart monitors, and the goal was between 135-180, all of us being juniors-seniors. We switched from muscle to cardiac exercises. But for awhile I was at like 205 once we got on treadmills, and used the step aerobic thingy. Im seventeen, so is it better to have a low heart rate but still doing a goodworkout, or a high heartrate with a good workout?well with the heart rate monitors, it went from 107-119, while i was just standing there. it would beep if I was over 180 or below 135.

205 is really high. What is your resting heart rate?

Its high, most probably your unfit, keep doing the exercises and your heart rate will get better as you get fitter.

What was your exertion level when you hit 205? Were you out of breath and sweating profusely? Might have had some type of interference which is why it gave you a high reading or maybe you are really out of shape or in shape.
