| so dangerously high cholesterol runs in my family. yeah so im 15 and i my cholesterol level is 206. =[ i'm on a premier soccer team and i run winter and sprinig track so exercise isn't the problem. i definitely eat healthier then most teens. I NEVER eat fast food, because i can't digest it. i stay away from fried foods. so i don't understand how my cholesterol is SOO high.. why do you think i have high cholesterol? how can i lower my cholesterol preferrably quickly? like what should i eat and do.i weigh 130 and im 5'8 so my weight is perfectly fine..and i should probably stay away from hamburgers, turkeyburgers and hotdogs?also my good cholesterol level is perfectly fine.. so if LDL is converted to good cholesterol is that still okay? |

| Depending on the currently philoshical persuasion of your doctor:1. 206 is not high2. 206 is a stroke heart attack waiting to happen.Depending on which "school" of doctor you listen to:1 Stay away from red meat, white meat, pink meat, fruits, vegetables, dairy. Eat only grains and nuts.2 Eat Only red meat, white meat, pink meat, fruits, vegetables, dairy.Since none of them agree, I do it my own way and am doing just fine:1. I eat a mixture of red meat, white meat, pink meat, fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains and nuts.2. When my doctor tells me to eat more of soething, I eat less of it, when my doctor tells me to eat less of something I eat more of it. 3 years ago my cholestorol was 356. Today it is 208. I attribute it to eating LOTS of red meat, fresh vegetables, milk, cheese and butter along with rice, potatoes, pasta and beans. 3 years ago 250 was consider "borderline-high cholestorol". Today 200 is considered "borderline-high cholestorol". The marvels of modern science and pharmacoloogicla salesmanship. |
