| Don't go mad and try to loose loads in a short period of time - 2 to 4lbs per week is possible with what you say in your post. There is an interesting articles on Water for Weight Loss I've listed below: http://ezinearticles.com/?Weight-Loss-With-Water&id=1161994Wishing you a slim future. |

| While I'm sure you would love the answer to be higher than this (as would I), the ideal weight loss should be 1-2 pounds per week, for a total of 5-10. If you are exercising, you may see your weight loss on the low side of that, but you will be shrinking, losing inches. Muscle weighs more than fat, and your goal should be to lose the fat, while preserving, or even building your muscle. If you lose more than 2 pounds per week, probability is that you are burning muscle tissue, and you don't want to do that. Also, rapid weight loses are often not sustainable, so you should try to do it the right way to keep the weight off. Unfortunately, the right way is to reduce your calorie intake (1200 calories per day) and increase your physical activity. Walking is a good way to start your exercise, if you currently aren't active. As you build your stamina, progress to something more aerobic, and it's key that you do some sort of weight training as well. Studies show that strength training is JUST as, perhaps even more important than aerobic exercise in losing weight and toning muscles. Good luck! |
