Two nice ladies were collecting clothes forKatrina. After leaving our house they called us up and said a 100 lb (guessing) mountain lion crossed the road down the street . We live in the woods. Should I take walks? Would you? We have a lot of deer and Mt Lions eat deer.

If it was 2 years ago, then you should definitely not worry about it any more! If it was spotted maybe a few days ago, then I would be more cautious.

Normally wild animals try to stay as far away from humans as they can. In Alaska there is a time of year when they get a whole bunch of animals including buffalo sitting in the lawn and walking on the road. I wouldn't be too worried about getting attacked because the Mountain Lion was probably doing exactly what she said it was, walking.
