try slowing it down drinking lots of water and stretching before. You could also try alternating between jogging and walking.

Are you breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth? That's what works for me and prevents me from losing breath control.I run with Nike's btw.

Breathe through your mouthSwing your arms at a 45 degree angleHeel toe Heel toeDon't clench your fists, keep them open.Don't swing your arms across your chest as you jog. Keep them relatively to your sides.Keep your back straightJog slowly at first and speed up once you feel that you are able to. For shoes, use athletic ones. Nike =)

It would seem like a very straight-forward situation you find yourself in. Jog, keep doing it, youll get better right? Not necessarily. You'll find that there are factors that don't immediatly come to mind that are vital to a good jog. To begin with, eat healthy, light meals. Don't jog until at least 2 hours since your last meal. Make sure you are hydrated enough, but dont drink large amounts of liquid before jogging. You wont be comfortable. Must I say not to jog as a hung-over remedy? Don't do it. Shoes are way up there on the list. Go to a specialty shoe retailer to get fitted for a shoe that suits your feet. This is a very common error, because one shoe works great for one person, does not mean it will work the same way for another. Every foot is different, some are wider, some have higher arches,etc.etc. Spend the money on a good shoe, with plenty of cushion - you must be comfortable running or you'll tire easily and pain will unmotivate you.start out with a small distance, challange yourself, with time you will not only notice a difference, but you will begin to actually enjoy your jogs, and find "motivators". Pre-programmed music on my Ipod makes for a good time. It helps to jog where there are other joggers, walkers or climbers...something motivating about it. Also, find interesting routes, scenic trails, parks, etc, etc..Hope this helps!
