I'm a healthy 17 year old female. 5'4 and 125 pounds.I eat somewhat healthy although I do indulge in chocolate more than I should. I eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. I don't really drink soda, although I drink tons of mineral water. I don't eat fast food often, although I do eat school lunches, which might not be the healthiest thing on earth. I have a busy schedule, so I don't really exercise, especially it being winter and all. I'd like to get in the habit of exercising for at least 10 minutes daily in my home without any sort of machines. I'm not interested in anything like yoga or pilates. What kinds of exercises could I do to stay in shape?

Have alternating days of squats with weights, or pushups, or situps. The biggest thing is to alternate to give your worked out muscles a chance to repair after the workout.Eat healthy, eat the right portions, get your exercise, and drink water. It is that easy.

What mike is saying is for your muscles. I recomend getting maybe 2x 0.5 Kg dumbells and do aerobics with them, when you are wuite comfortable with this you could progress to a 1 Kg dumbell. You could also purchase a DVD with aerobic workouts

The best thing you can do with only 10 minutes is jump rope! You'll get a great cardio workout and also work your upper and lower body at the same time. Also, the higher you bring your knees up the more it works your abs. I like to alternate one minute slower and focus on bringing my knees up and one minute faster with my feet not going very far off the ground. You can get a good jump rope from Target for $5.
