| I'm looking for simple ways to tone my body. I only way about 105, but I don't exercise outside of going up and down stairs and carrying things at work and school. I'd like to tone my thighs, butt, and stomach, but I don't have time for anything extreme. Any suggestions? Are yoga and pilates really all that good? Thanks for the help! =) |

| You wanna tone your whole body.Pilates is one excellent exercise program you can try out. It tones, sculpts, stretches and strengthens your core muscles (abs, butts, thighs/hips, backs and spine) and other muscle groups, all at one go, to make your body in "elongated" stance with sleeker and slender form. Here's a simple way to do the exercise: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/free-Pilates-exercises.htmlDo Pilates 3-4 times per week for 30 min per session. Hey! add in a cardio routine too, to make it a complete cardio and strength program. If you don't fancy Pilates, you could go for a whole body toning program that tones & sculpts all your major muscle groups: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/body-toning-exercises.htmlDo this routine 3-4 times per week, for 15-20 mins per session, after your cardio routine.BTW, Yoga is more for stretching and balancing while Pilates is for strengthening, sculpting, toning, stretching and balancing, all at one go when you do a particular exercise movement. I would say you benefit more from doing Pilates. But then, that's my personal view based on my experience. |
