Hello, my name is Ashley. II love sports to death!! I am in 4 sports and going on 5. I am in Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, and Softball... At our school the coaches push you really hard at every sport and you get an intense workout and i just bowl for fun in league.I am 14, weigh 161 lbs. and am 5'6"... My doctor says that after volleyball I gained about 10 lbs of muscle so I was at 142 before but I also have a perfect athletic build.I am so self-consious about myself and wanna lose more weight and become more fit! So I plan on doing powerlifting at our school to do just that. For that our coach pushes you HARD to do you best you can be. I would like to know that if there is any safe way I could lose weight... if i need to... and do better in my sports, what to eat and extra workouts I can do.And my doc said all this was okay and normal.

I would definitely recommend a calcium supplement if you don't eat too many dairy products and a multivitamin to ensure you get enough b vitamins, antioxidants among other nutrients. To lose weight, your activity level is so high, you just may need to lower the amount of fat you eat in your diet.Fat has 9 Calories per gram, whereas carbohydrates and protein only have 4 Calories per gram. You shouldn't have 0% of your calories from fat, but you may be eating 35% from fat, and if you dropped it to 20% you would lose weight while still getting enough calories to be competitive at your sports.COMPLIMENTS for being such an athlete!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!!!!

well i would start off running every day early in the morning. it really refreshes and i love doing it with my i-pod. maybe after that you could do a lil power lifting, but i tell you, it's not fun. eat chicken salad (yummy!) or go on allrecipes.com for health food stuff. also wat's good for losing weight is eating 6 little meals a day. Did you know that if you eat slower you gain less? that's why. and oh for slow-eating try fondue or an appetizer party.
