I'm a 14 year old girl, at a healthy weight, and i get enough sleep but i always feel tired. Could it be that I don't exercise enough? i usually get to bed around 11:00, but i can't fall asleep till 12:00 or later. I wake up usually at 6:45, and am okay during the school day. I walk home after school which takes 1/2 an hour and I am tired when I get home so i take a nap for an hour and 1/2. Yet I still feel tired and have barely any energy all the time. I also do cheerleading, but that Is only twice an week. Am i not getting enough exercise?

You are getting enough excercise. Ask your parents to go to the doctor, you might have mono or something.

That is typical for a teen. A teen's body clock runs diffrently than an adult. The hours they are widest awake is late night early morning. It sounds like you just need more sleep. A teen also need about 10 hours a sleep a day. You may want to look into something to help you fall asleep faster like a cd of classical music or something that will help relax you.

Oh, dear. There's something you need to know about nap-taking. A fifteen-minute nap will rejuvenate you while an hour-and-a-half nap will only make you feel more tired. Not only that, but it prevents you from falling asleep as quickly when you do go to bed at night. I've made the same mistake of napping for an hour and a half and then when it's time to go to bed I can't fall asleep. Go ahead and still take a nap but set your alarm so you don't sleep more than twenty minutes. If you do this for a couple of weeks and are still tired, then exercise as well as eating right will help a lot.
