I am 5'3", weigh 230lbs. I KNOW I am overweight. I can not stay motivated. I am a single mom who works 2 jobs, 8am-5pm, then 6pm to 10pm..everyday and has 20min to cook dinner and can not afford the expensive no fat low fat stuff. I need quick, take to work for lunch and quick in the morning. I can't find it. I hate water, i try to squirt lemon juice in it, it's ok. I don't excersize, it hurts and I start to get out of breath and my heart rate goes up and i get dizzy. I can not afford to go to a doctor. Any ideas for food plans or exercises? My area is not safe to walk in and I can't go to the schools, I tried and was asked to leave. I don't know what to do! Please help me i have noticed my daughter who is 11 is starting to pack it on and I don't want her to go through what I am. It's time for a new direction, I just need a map.I mis calculated, it was suppose to say 60lbs. I was trying to figure the 2-3 pounds a week weight loss. I want ot do it safely.

The ONLY way to lose 100 lbs safely over a 6 month period would be to have gastric bypass surgery. I don't know - maybe a medically supervised fast like Optifast, but I don't think so. That is a tremendous amount of weight to lose in such a short time & is a very unrealistic goal.Sorry

I know this is long, but it has worked wonders for me, and all it takes is just small changes.....Commit to consuming 4 - 6 small meals and snacks everyday. This helps to make you feel like you are eating more and to keep hunger pains away.To succeed, you must plan ahead by packing your foods the night before. Thus, you should always have fresh and low-fat foods around. Be sure to have a variety so as not to get bored easily.Keep it simple. Don't get too caught up on the specifics or your diet. Start by simply just counting calories. Be realistic, go for a 2000 calorie diet and take away 100 calories each week, never go below a 1300 calorie daily diet.Eat your foods slower. Many people eat quickly and don't realize they are actually full. Stop eating if you do feel full, set the leftovers aside to eat for your next snack if money is a problem.Make healthier food selections like fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, and beans, low-fat or nonfat dairy products, low fat meats, fish and skinless poultry. Mix it up a bit, again to keep away from feeling like you are on a diet.Avoid foods that are high in fat and calories.Avoid foods that are high in sugars such as pastries, candy bars, pies and candy. If you simply must, give yourself one cheat day a week, and eat one and only one item of junk food. Pretty soon with good eating habits these cravings will disappear, but we all like to treat ourselves once in a while.Use a variety of fruits and vegetables in your nutrition plan. Start by trying to eat 5 total vegetable and fruit servings every single day. This is actually a lot simpler than it sounds. You stated you don't really like water, however water keeps you hydrated. The first sign of dehydration is hunger! I didn't used to like water either, I found by drinking it really cold it was pretty good. Milk is another good drink as are smoothies and vegetable juices. As far as exercise, try yoga. It burns calories quickly with very little stress to the body. Or if possible, get a treadmill, you can often times find these very cheap at second hand stores. It really varies on the individuals if you will be able to lose that amount of weight that quickly, but this will aid you on your way and is healthy. I seen serious results in the first two weeks. I wish you all the best and hope that you and your daughter get back to living a healthy lifestyle.

You have to take control of your diet (and that of your child) Believe me, it need not take much time at all, and it can be very inexpensive compared to fatty foods. It sounds like you have high blood pressure. Eating healthy will help, don't use salt. Buy a bottle of No-Salt Italian Seasoning instead. Or hot sauce.Breakfast: Quick-cooking Oatmeal 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon (no sugar) to lower cholesterol and add flavour. All Bran Buds taste great and boost your fibre intake for better weight loss. You CAN make extra portions and keep them in the fridge for a day or two. Take advantage of this and you'll only have to cook it 2 - 3 times a week and reheat it on other days. A little skim milk with give it a good texture. Make it in the night if your mornings are very stressful.Lunch: 5 minutes - Whole wheat bread with sandwich meat, tomato, and mustard instead of mayo. Add fruit or veggie to round it out (or for afternoon snack).Supper: 5 minutes - Prepare a soup or stew and baked beans on the weekend when you have more time. Freeze portions and take out to defrost the day before you need it to save microwaving time. Think of breakfast or non-traditional foods that are healthy and quick to prepare for supper, too. A bowl of cottage cheese and an apple. Boil eggs and keep them in the fridge to chop and throw in a salad for a good source of protein. Save money by simply giving smaller portions of tuna (no mayo!) chicken breast and lean red meat. Don't throw away money on: bacon, hotdogs, and ground beef. They make people fat and sick.Dessert / Evening snack: peeled carrot, fruit, or a smoothie. This is a modified version of how we eat (I do have more time to cook so I don't freeze much). I promise you'll save money and get healthy if you stick with good, fresh fruits and veggies, plus the basics like brown rice, oatmeal, beans, and whole wheat bread and pasta. Your daughter should be able to help you in the kitchen now. If you invest some time on the weekend, there is no reason why you should spend more than 15 minutes a day on healthy meals. I think you'll find that once you gain control of meal planning, you'll begin feeling much, much more energetic. As for exercise, start with slow, comfortable stretches. Your body will feel so much better and you'll want to do more as you get your diet and health back on track. Good luck.

I think you should be working on your mindset first.go to: How to lose 2 pounds a week? : http://www.loseweighthappy.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view &id=207&Itemid=62I believe that weight loss always starts from mindset. This is the reason why i am able to lose 15kg in 2 months and maintain for 3 years straight, all the way till my pregnancy. You see, we are what we are today because of our past... our past actions.. these actions are decided by our decisions in what to eat and whether to exercise lead and they lead us to having this figure today..These decisions come from your mindsets. Now, suppose I do teach you how to lose the weight and you do lose it.. but if your mindsets and decisions are the same.. and so your actions are the same. So you would continue to eat as you did, sleep as you did and ta da!After three months, you probably will not maintian your weight loss but instead go back to square one.. dun you agree? ;)So it is impt to get your mindsets right first. Before you start any weight loss program, here are some questions you might like to think about to prepare your mindset for weight loss:1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?6) Then when do I want to take action? Some solutions I can offer you for diet:Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juiceLunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggsDinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinnersIf you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weight loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class...go to for more..:the link:: http://www.loseweighthappy.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view &id=207&Itemid=62
