Currently weight 153 age 27, 5'6. I love my body the only problem is my thighs. What else can I do besides dieting, eatting right and exercising to lose the weight?

You can not exercise to loose fat in specific areas. I was always told you can not spot reduce. Exercising a specific areas will only improve the muscle tone in that area and may help achieve the look you want. Loosing fat is more of an all over thing.

Exactly what she said...Do you want the same size as your thighs but made of muscle, or do you want the size of your thigh reduced? Jogging or will help with both of these.

Yes of course running will help you lose fat in your thighs. As they said, you can't spot reduce. But, it's generally accepted that where your body has the largest fat stores is where you will see a loss first(in regards to the girl that said I'm wrong, I pulled this information from my book in a college health class. I don't see the professor being a liar either.) Cardio is the only way to really burn fat. You may want to try running longer than 30 minutes though. However, if you can't run that long, then walking works too. 45-60 minutes is generally better for fat loss. You have the right frequency though because you're giving yourself a couple of days to rest, which is good. You also want to try weight training at least 3 days a week. Some form of resistance, be it machines or body weight, etc. This will help tone and define the muscles that are already in your thighs. Low weights and high reps will allow lean muscle to be built, and you won't bulk up. Having muscle will increase your resting metabolism and help to burn more calories while you aren't working out. One thing else to note is that you may gain a few pounds while doing weight training, but don't worry, you're building muscle and the muscle will be far more compact than fat, so your thighs will be smaller. As for doing anything else, there isn't much that'll help. You've got everything you need to get there, it'll just take some time. But if you combine cardio and weights, it's possible you can see a 1-2" difference in your thighs in a month.

Well if you want smaller thighs, running might work and it might not, yes you will lose the fat but you will replace it with muscle

running does not help u lose fat in your thighs. no exercises help lose fat in some particular part of your body. when i delivered a baby and was 14 kg overweight i also had a little bit fat thights. i was doing shaping exercises every day for 1 hour. i lost fat all over my body and thighs became very nicely shaped.ps. that woman who said that u always lose first from the place u have more stored fat is absolutely wrong. it is other way around - u lose from the place where your body prefers to store fat LAST.

According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), you need at least 60-90 minutes of cardio three times a week to lose weight. This doesn't mean crank up the treadmill and run until you pass out, it means a prolonged, though not too vigorous workout. Also, you should lift weights at least twice a week, this will make your muscles more toned and increase your bone density (which is important, especially since you're a female). Contrary to popular belief, lifting weights will most likely NOT make you bulky - you simply do not have the testosterone to do it. Lift hard weights, maybe 10-12 rep's. If you aren't tired by the end of a set, you aren't working (and I don't know about you, but I don't like wasting my time in a gym).Good luck!Steven

Running alone does not make u lose fats in your thighs. Like what some of them said, there is no such thing as exercising for a certain part of your body. Jogging is good but it's not a complete workout. What you can do is including squats in your workouts. Don't squat all the way down, do a partial squat. Stay in the position for 10 to 15 seconds before you continue with your next squat. Do in sets of 3 or 4...20 squats for each set. Remember to breathe in and out. Keep ur hands outstretched or hold on to some weights..start with a light one..once u are used to it u can increase the weights. In between each set u could do other workouts. Work on one major muscle and other minor muscles when u are doing ur workout. It's not good to work on 2 or more major muscles when u are doing ur workout. Basically remember not to overwork on one particular muscle for a week. So if u keep working on ur thighs alone u will hurt urself. Be balanced with ur workout. All the best!
