I need to lose 100 pounds in 8 months (by the end of summer). I'm 15, 5'8" and 230. I've lost 30 pounds and I've already started to get sagging skin even though it was a slow weight loss. How can I do this without getting the sagging skin?I can't exercise very well. I have asthma badly (I was on steroids for 3 years which caused the weight gain) and my collarbone is deformed and has arthritus so it hurts. Also I don't even know what type of exercises to do.Also I don't have any weights.I'm have a thin frame so 130 is what I should be. Also I don't want to be muscular. And I don't have any resources for cardio or strength training. I need like a diet or something to follow. I don't eat junk food or drink soda.I've decided I'm not going back to high school (I'm homeschooled) until I lose 100 pounds but I refuse to start back as the fat kid again. Kids mentally tortured me when I was younger and I refuse to go through it again. And I'll be going to school with the same kids and they haven't changed so I will only be made fun of again so I HAVE to lose it in 8 months.

Congrats on your weightloss so far. I have lost about 110 lbs over the past couple of years, and I have some skin issues too. I think it takes time and weight-lifting for your skin to catch up with your weight loss - but you are very young and your skin should be elastic enough to bounce back (thats what my doctor tells me and I'm 23).About your goal - it looks like you're trying to weigh 130, which is actually low for your height. You might want to consider a more healthy goal like 150, which would be a healthy bmi for your height, but more attainable and healthy than 130. I can attest that the last 20 pounds get really hard (I have about 18 to my goal). That having been said, you could healthily lose about 60-70 pounds in the next 8 months, maybe 80 if you really stick to it. That would be a healthy 2 pounds a week and will help give your skin time to catch up with itself. And you will look so beautiful when you get there! Pay attention to how your body feels close to your goal, not to what the numbers on the scale say. If you pick too low of a goal you won't be comfortable, it will be hard to maintain, and you might gain back. There are some skin tightening lotions you can try, you can find them at wal-mart and target for a reasonable price. They say on the bottle that they have lutien proteins and things in them. Also, I have heard that soy protien helps with skin elasticity, but I wouldn't put a ton of stock in it. Most important is exercise, cardio and strength training. That will help your skin. Again, congrats on your endeavor to get healthy- I know how hard it is and it has been the best thing I have done for myself. You should be very very proud! For exercises, you can just walk or ride a bike, which won't hurt your asthma or injury. Weights can be bought at wal-mart for relatively cheap - or just use big books (harry potter works) or full water bottle. Look online for strength training exercises you can do - like on self.com or shape.com, they should have some easy strength moves you can use.

Do you HAVE to lose it in 8 months or is it that you WANT to lose it in that time frame? 100 lbs in that short of time frame might be difficult if exercizing is hard for you with asthma. I would suggest changing your diet, and if you have to lose it byt then you will have to be strict about it. You have 32 weeks to lose 100lbs. that's about 3-4 lbs a week. I'm telling you from personal experience that is very hard to do, and not healthy. If you lose weight that fast, as soon as you start eating normally the weight will just come right back on. and if you planning on losing that much weight that fast, theres not much you can do about the sagging skin.. Im 5'6" 148lbs. a year ago i was 212lbs. I know what your going through. Just maybe start rethinking your time frame goal? 100lbs is an excellent goal! and i hope you can do it. Just be careful and keep your health your #1 priority. If you lose weight, but killed your body by doing it to fast or in an unhealthy way, your better of having not lost the weight at all. Good Luck!
