I don't mean to sound like a commercial, but I had joined Weight Watchers last January. I lost 60 pounds with it and have maintained it since September. What you have to remember is that is healthy to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Any more than that and it gets harder to maintain. Good Luck!

i lost most of my "baby weight" which was 55 lbs by not eat carbs. it works but it takes a lot of commitment. i am losing the last 20 lbs of baby weight on weight watchers. after a while of not eating carbs your body starts to stop losing weight. so i would try that for about 6 months allow yourself to eat 50 grams of carbs a day then every week go down 5 grams until your at 20 then stay at 20 grams a day for a month then if you stop losing weight go down to 15 grams but DONT go below that, its not healthy... if you need carbs then do weight watchers, the point system really does work. its hard at 1st because you cant eat a whole lotta food, but its def. worth it!!!! i lost 8 lbs in 5 weeks. a lot of that was water weight tho and blah blah... i would say its healthy to lose 1-2 lbs a week. you should exersice tooo, losing 100 lbs can damage your outter apperance if its too quick! good luck! go to weightwatchers.com or a website about not eating carbs! good luck again!

I'd suggest staying away from pills. Weight loss is only temporary.Just cut out the fried, fatty, sugary and snacky foods you eat while adding 30 minutes of exercise a day. You'll watch your body slim down like crazy.Honestly, I lost the most weight when I was on a vegetarian (south) Indian diet. I'm not fond of veggies, but the Indian spices made them delicious. I felt healthier and lost 30 lbs in just a few months. A lot of my problems started to vanish. I wish I'd stuck with it - I had someone cooking for me, but can't cook Indian food myself. I miss the way it made me feel!

I strongly agree with the weight watchers thing. My sister had a baby last January and she has lost 100 pounds and looks good. That is what I am going to do after my baby comes. Other than that eating healthy and a good excersise regimen are a good start. You don't want a quick fix because the results never stay. Good luck!!

yeah, they say you can lose about 10% of your weight each week and still be healthy. Weight Watchers does sound like a good idea. And don't forget to exercise!! Forget about the vinegar pills though.

I'm with ya! Don't expect to change immediately. It took time to put this weight on and it will take time to take it off. Starting as soon as you can, begin cutting out the things in your diet that you can do without. Now, if you have a favorite type of candy or cooki or ice cream, you don't have to cut them out completely, but reduce how much you eat of them. Start cutting your food portions, and if you feel the urge to snack, grab a piece of fruit or gum. And eat breakfast! Breakfast starts you off well and jumpstarts your metabolism, and having consumed something early helps you to eat less throughout the day. Also try to get in at least 15 minutes of exercise each day to start.

Weight loss for life can only be achieved by a balanced diet high in vegetables, fruit, lean protein, fiber, good fats and a moderate amount of grains, dairy, and sugars..... and exercise! Fad diets will only make you gain what you lost and then some.... Don't take any pills unless it is vitamin C or a multi-vitamin. l tried several pills and they don't work, only healthy lifestyles do..It is hard work but its worth it... Good Luck

Vinegar pills made my stomach upset. I would try stacker and slim fast because you will still be hungry and need nourishment. Start walking or join curves or something. I do videos at home. I like Denise Austin...... Just Me. I think 8 to 10 lbs. per month is good. You will lose more in the beginning which will be water as you tone your abs. Drink LOTS of water.

Talk to your Doctor about this. If you lose to much weight in a short period of time it could make you very ill and/or weak.

There are two main things you can do to lose weight.1. Eat less (and clean).2. Exercise more.Go to the store and get a heart monitor watch (e.g. Polar or Timex brand) - it will come with a strap that will read your heart rate and calculate how many calories you are burning. Wear that watch for 24 hours on a sedentary day. It will tell you how many calories you burn in 24 hours. That's step 1.Step 2 - modify your food intake so you eat fewer calories than you take in. This is where the discipline comes in. You want to fill your fridge with stuff you are sure about in terms of calorie content. You can go to websites like www.calorieking.com to educate yourself. Stick with whole foods that are low in fat and low in sugar and don't have ingredients that are hard to pronounce, and aren't processed. Example - breakfast - egg whites and canadian bacon (eat about 1/4 of your daily calories for breakfast) - mid morning - have a piece of fruit ..... lunch - chicken/fish/veggies.... dinner .... chicken/fish/veggies.... once you start giving this some thought, variety is out there. It doesn't have to be painful.Step 3 - exercise - if you don't have a lot of time, just do 30 minutes a day of walking - walk fast - try to work up a sweat. Read the directions to your heart monitor watch and learn how to raise your heart rate to your optimal level.Step 4 - keep doing it. It doesn't end. It's a lifestyle choice. If you want hot wings, pizza and beer - that's a lifestyle choice - but you probably won't be in attractive physical shape. If you want to eat clean and exercise, you'll miss out on some of the pizza and beer fun, but you'll probably feel really good and look much better.
